OK, my turn to ask a question.
I now have in my hot, sweaty little hands the B-Square mount to allow me to mount a scope on the "virgin" #4 Mk2 Faz I unwrapped recently.
From all I've read on these it is suggested that, as the smooth shaft with "C" clips is useless for mounting it securely to the reciever rear, I should replace it with a nut & bolt.
The shaft supplied measures 1 3/4" long by 0.041" (or 43 X 3.6mm)
Any idea what bolt size this ends up as being for either inch, or metric bolts??
As I went the no drill-no tap route I'd like to not have to ream the holes, so smaller is better

Grass Hopper !!!! You have answered your own question ! Take thy Vernier to the hard ware store & use it to measure up the required size you have posted just go a tad longer & secure the Nut & bolt with a Spring washer !

From the other thread with LITHGOW I've found out that there is just too much "fudge factor" involved in getting this mount to properly fit the reciever. Because of that it's going back.
