Gents, I have a question for you reloader's. I want to buy a machine for deburring the case neck after trimming.
I currently have to deburr both inner and outer edges by hand. It's a real pain in the butt when you've got a pot full of trimmed cases to do. So what's the best solution? |

A couple of things I've used. A converter for an electric screwdriver that takes the chamfer/deburr tool. NOT a drill its way too fast but the lecky driver is perfect. The case trimmer! I have a mini-lathe type & so I motorized it with the same screwdriver! & then got a chamfer deburr head. |

I reload quite a few rounds. Nothing like other members. Probably shoot 400 rounds of .303 a year. I have a hand debur and camfer tool. I also have a case trimming tool that fits on a hand drill. Low speed. Then I use the hand tool with the case still in the drill. Primitive? You bet. But unless I was reloading for a Bren gun, suits my needs.

Reloading 120 or more rounds a week got tiring and time consuming. I sprung for the RCBS Universal Case Prep Center. Motorized and does the trimming and neck chamfer. I’m very pleased with it. I wished I had got it sooner.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into the RCBS unit; see if it's available in France.

if you get it, I recommend the carbide cutting head.

Looking at the Lyman Case Prep Xpress and the equivalent RCBS without the trimming part. The Lyman is available here at a dealer I occasionally use; so that may be the decider. I do have a case trimmer; so the deburring and primer pocket tools of the Case Prep Xpress would do nicely. It's 220 Euro's over here; but shipping from USA would end up with a Import tax bill and customs clearance costs. So better buy locally.

Just to update you guy's.
I told the wife I was buying this for my Christmas present. The Postman delivered it while she was home; so she's wrapped it and it'll be under the tree on the 25th! So I report on it effectiveness after the festivities!

I have an old RCBS hand held, knurled, champher deburr tool. I acknowledge my reloading quantity is far below competitive shooters, but for me, it gives me one more chance by hand to see a defect of the entire casing. (I load about 400 rds/year.)
