Hey,

I have a chrome plated number four spike bayonet scabbard that I might be willing to trade off.

Anyone have an interest?

I have one of the chrome scabbards too; with a very clean spike bayonet. I was wondering if the chroming would be done after the end of WWII.
There not being much to parade about during the conflict!
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

i suspect there , much like here , there was always a compliment of parade items for those solomn occassions , military funerals , government ceremony , a bit of royal pomp and circumstance maybe ?

i have noticed ours at state funerals , i distinctly remember the glint at kennedys funeral ,

i had a few in my accumulation years ago , mostly US back then - M1905 and later shortened versions , actually had the spike and scabbard ,
