I have decided to create my version of a Custom No4 in 7.62x51. Wish me luck and pray I don't smash off the tip of another finger.

I should be more specific when I say Custom No4. I'm going to use a Mk1/2 receiver,2A1 barrel, and a full blonde wood furniture set. You guys might be really impressed with this one...

Where do you get a mag for it?? 308 Enfield mags are scarcer then henĀ“s teeth, IMO?

A mag for a No 8, or an Ishapore mag?? ( I think, for a No 4 a No 8 mag would be correct? )

Just curious, Hermann

Sorry for the delay in response .
I did an internet search for,(L42A1 Magazine for Sale.) I found a couple of places in the UK but they refused to ship them to the USA. That is except for one individual.  I was desperate so I paid the dude $746.50 USD for two of them. I cannot remember his name and actually  choose not to. The 2A1 magazine can be made to work with a little finessing of the metal...

Met me halfway at the Dairy Queen in Casa Grande?
I actually have a 2A1 magazine  that I cannot get to work in this rifle,(as far as ejecting the spent case goes.) Everything else about it works fine. The L42A1 magazine looks stunning in it's new home though...
