No, but here is hoping for a smooth procedure. My dad had one and he did quite well during and after the installation.

Don't feel too bad I'm 100% tone deaf, I actually like disco, because I can follow the bass & percussion.

While I am walking and chewing gun I stick a cigar up my butt so I can blow smoke up my butt.

Yes, I had one fitted about 3 months ago. It's a Boston Scientific pacemaker/defibrillator unit. I had mine fitted under twilight sedation - couldn't feel any pain but was awake enough to feel the surgeon pushing and making the pocket for it to sit in. Mine's fitted to my left pec under the collar bone. Only issue I have is that it could have been pushed in about an inch further as the end of it is very close to my armpit. If I try to carry something under my arm, it can result in discomfort and sometimes bruising.

Doctors have given me the clearance to continue shooting rifles etc with no worries expected. Just avoid strong magnetic fields - car alternators when the engine is running, welders to name a few. Small stuff like corded drills should be ok.

Best of luck and keep some pain killers handy.

I tried to get my defibrillator changed to a pace maker so I would have rhythm but with no luck.

I will just have to settle for the defibrillator, shocking.
