The Lancaster flies over my place alot. There's no mistaking the sound of 4 Merlins - even from a distance.
You can hear her (VRA - VERA) coming a long way off..& depending on her altitude she can be quite loud.
I can just imagine what it must have sounded like when 1,000 Lancs & Halifax would be in formation

Hey Hoadie,

A little wet is no problem. We need the rain as North Carolina did not get any snow last season.

The temp is 50- 60 so it not bad.

Deer season is right away the corner for farm owner like me.

God willing I will be up to high power work and Bambi will fall well.

Might even have a shot at a bear.

Brown meat in the freezer.

Now all I need is a moose. Please send me a Bullwinkle, one with a nice rack.

Thank Hoadie!

Ed

PS I will trade you a pickupmatruck load of North Carolina snapper turtles. For a nice Bullwinkle.

Deal?

Now you done spoke them bad words, "permit". Permit = goverment. Government = what is it going to cost me. I do not need any more government, go one of my own, and I am not paying for any permit. I will have to take a trip to Ft Kent, Maine, and see my cousins.

Call out for a Bullwinkle to come on down south for a " party". Bring it home in a Un-haul.

lets all agree that the government ought to keep it nose out from under our tents and mind our boarders as it was constitutionally mandated to do , that would solve a lot of issues we keep discussing here
