Very nice! Ive discovered a few MK2s in my stash, but no mk1's! ![]() Out of idle curiosity do you have any idea of the function/purpose of the third "pip", or "dot" between the first 2 openings in the sides? I've got it on my Mk2's but no-one seems to know what the heck it is for! |

Not a clue! Probably for some kind of early action though because they don't ever align with anything on my SMLEs or No4s.

I did not know what the pips/ lugs were for - the MKIIs had them then they were change and did not have the pips/lugs and were changed to MKII* but they were not marked MKII*
