Something you hardly ever see are the MKI chargers - years ago I bought 100 MKII / MKII* chargers, looked at them then packed them up. A couple of years back I was sorting them by manufacture and I found this MKI in the bag - missed it the first time.

Lucked into the 2nd one the last year or two.

Very nice! Ive discovered a few MK2s in my stash, but no mk1's!Thumbs Up
Out of idle curiosity do you have any idea of the function/purpose of the third "pip", or "dot" between the first 2 openings in the sides?
I've got it on my Mk2's but no-one seems to know what the heck it is for!

Not a clue!
Probably for some kind of early action though because they don't ever align with anything on my SMLEs or No4s.

I did not know what the pips/ lugs were for - the MKIIs had them then they were change and did not have the pips/lugs and were changed to MKII* but they were not marked MKII*
