he!!o,
I am looking to see where my enfield was made. I took pictures of everything i though would be useful. I couldn't get the serial number as it is really faded and hard to get a picture of but it looks like the number is BLl6503. I also couldn't get a picture of the bottom of the barrel, but it says I0INC Melbourne FL ENF N04 MK 1 Uk 303. Thanks! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It is a Maltby made rifle dated 1944.
Bear43 will be asking you questions about the tiny circular stamps with numbers in them as well. The marks you refer to on the barrel is an import stamp.

i agree - its a maltby no 4 mkI of 1944 vintage , much of the other markings i suspect to be inspection marks but ill always defer to our resident maltby expert ands please provide him of everything he might request as it builds upon our cumulative info , these are interesting rifles that many of us have less knowledge of that all would be pleased to get , i think you have a nice one but as always would love to see more to confirm ,

There looks to be another inspection stamp on the angled flat area above the other 3 on the left side of the receiver. Could you post a picture of that as well? Also, if you could take off the trigger guard and post a picture of the letters stamped on the wrist area that is covered by the trigger guard, that would be very nice for my research purposes.

I tried getting a better picture of it, but I couldn't I was able to determine that it is 48 and it looks like there is a R in front of it.
