    Posted: March 13 2019 at 1:21pm
I am refurbishing an Enfield No.4 MKI /II model SN: PF131xxx (Fazakerley) and needed to replace the deteriorated Handguard Ring.  I order one from Numrich and it is larger than the old one and will not fit into the stock.  Based on my measure the old handguard ring is OD 35.5mm and ID 32.0mm.  The ones from Numrich were about OD 39.25mm and ID 34.5mm.  Why the difference and how do I find the correct size?  Thx!

Hmm, I wonder if that could be a Swedish Mauser one, they sell both, could of been a picking mishap.
both hand guard rings look almost identical......

Just measured my Mauser HG-ring it is roughly 39mm/od
shoot em if you got em

Read something on another forum about somebody with a similar problem.

The rings at Numrich are listed and sold as No.4 component when they are actually for the P14, which are larger.

Sounds like you having same issue.

That would be weird if they are mixing up Mauser and Enfield parts... Just sent the parts back with explanation.  Hopefully Numrich will figure it out.
