I posted something about this in the parts area, but I thought it should go here.  So, I really looked around those #4 based target rifles, are infact, Parker Hale made rifles with a heavy barrel, the Parker Hale T4!  How do ya like it?   (See I was'nt Haloosinating!)

My LongBranch has parker hale rear and an AG parker front

I would say that these rifles were built in the transition stage of Full bore from .303 to 7.62nato  Latter the OMARK took over from the Enfield/Parker Hales

Yes they definately have transition type features, with some similarities to L42s/39s/Enforcers.  What is interesting, is in the last year, I have seen Parker Hale buttstocks like these, pop up at Numrich, they also list a Heavy Barrel Forearm.  The buttstocks were long gone, by the time I decided I wanted one of them.  I thought about it a little too long.
