I at last heard from Possum Hollow, He is shipping a bore guide & solvent port to me.
Yay! no more 1/2" pvc rod. No-one else had them in stock.
Confused
Please see last post, I can not in all honesty suggest you deal with this company's products based on my experiences with them. Sad as he seemed to start out so well.

Sham, your going to like this bore guide.  Works great.  My routine cleaning is with Hoppes 9, push soaked patch thru bore, then 20 or so stokes with nylon brush, push another soaked patch, let soak overnight followed by clean patch.  Once a year, with Boretech Eliminator to remove all copper.

He was saying something about no "O" ring because of the shape? Does that mean anything to you? I was just not getting it.
I use M-Pro 7, its a 2 part regimen, one is powder solvent, the other brass & powder. you alternate them to remove the layered nature of fouling.
Both can be left in indefinitely.

Mine has an O-ring, there is a groove in the forward part of the guide where it sits in the chamber.  Keeps the solvent from running back.  There is also an O-ring in the solvent port extension.

OK it arrived.
Yours sounds like its similar to the Midway one with the guide being one part & the port another. There was a pair of "O" rings between the port part & the rod part & another on the "extension" that goes-into the chamber?
Mine (A#260) is one single continuous machined piece of plastic, the bore guide & the solvent port seem to be one piece! There's no "O" ring anywhere? There's a very faint tiny change in diameter at the point where the guide & port would mate if they were separate parts. You can just see it if you look hard. I don't see it being a problem, but it is curious? (to view full sized right click image click view image & then click "+").

Yes, my Possum Hollow rod guide looks like the blue one in your photo, but is white.   Has an O-ring on the end that inserts into the chamber and separate solvent port, which I only use for brushing.

Not thrilled, sorry. It just won't stay in place even when just pulling a rod/jag back.
I e-mailed him to see if there's something wrong wrong as its terribly loose & floppy in the action. I even found a couple of "O" ings that are a friction fit to see if that tightens it up,but no luck.

I really hate having to do this but I'm going to post a ding for Possum Hollow's current production.
I've tried to contact him to remedy the situation & he simply ignores me completely. Its been several weeks & not one single reply or contact.

He has deleted his e-mail replies to my messages to him. But he obviously cant delete my messages which I have archived.
He's also deleted his FaceBook page.

I cant speak for his other products but this one, as received is a dud & he's not doing anything to make it right.
If you get something different tread carefully.
