Parker Hale mount and rings and an early button style cocking piece. Can't really tell what magazine that is but I suspect another PH piece.

My homemade PH magazine.  I found the receiver awhile back with a missing charging bridge.  The barrel has been sitting on a shelf for almost  a year now and I needed  another project. The truly sad part about this is that the receiver is an early no*  Savage 1C4126. It will go bang again...

I love your Sporter creations! Not a fan of laminated stocks or muzzle breaks, but you have done so many great projects! Always look forward to your next design! Plus, you can shoot the lights out with your rifles!

I have a Boyd's laminate or a Zytel stock to choose from currently.

I adore laminated stocks.
The best of wood & the best of synthetics together.
I just someone would make a laminated 2-piece L-E stock profiled like an L39/L42.
Once upon a time I had one, made for me, I still miss that rifle.

I think I will stick with the Zytel synthetic stock.

Thats a smart looking rifle that looks great. I have used Mark Lee express blue to color metal and it does a great job.
Finish as always depends on how well the polish has been done and avoiding contamination with other oils.
It's very easy to use with ordinary house hold tools and yields good results once you get a process going on.
I think I'd like to put a rifle like that together now after seeing this one.

Goosic always does a great job of demonstrating that no matter how far gone a rifle may seem it can still be made into something nice with some time and effort.
