he!!o, I shoot a Lee Enfield .303 Mk4 with great enthusiasm. Unfortunately, I have had major problems removing the firing pin (“striker”). The threaded joint is seized in the cocking piece, and turning the striker is virtually impossible. Several wrenches have already been ruined. (The locking screw in the cocking piece has, of course, been removed.) Good advice is hard to come by, especially since Mk4 strikers are currently not available. Any help is very welcome, as the rifle shoots excellently… Thanks Bruce

Many of the aftermarket tools are rubbish. Many make their own by grinding down an appropriate sized long neck socket! |

I'm assuming you've doused it with penetrating oil? |

I assume this is a No4 Mk1 rifle.
Some heat applied to the cocking piece, would be worth a try. If that doesn't work, you may need to cut the firing pin and replace both. I would recommend changing the spring as well as the firing pin and cocking piece.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

Thank you for the advise. Seems like cutting the pin is my last issue. Unfortunately it is very hard to find a pin available in stock.

then it must be a no4 - not a mkIV - these terms make a huge difference here , i wish you luck and suggest that the soak in kroil and maybe the heat might be a good thing to try ,
