that failed , i was unaware that a US contractor had a contract for the SMLW before savage got theirs for the no 4 , its about the second or third paragraph in EDIT - make that seven paragraphs in

yea , i had no idea , i dont think it was mentioned in the bible but i might have missed it , ive only read portions related to what i owned , the mkIII and III* were what i was interested in tho , theis is a contract id not heard of

Wow, quite the historical tidbit there. I can't help but wonder how much H&A spent on retooling. With no up-front investment that had to be pricey.
