Will try to find a picture, but the "correct" bayonet would be the No. 9. The head is similar to the No. 4 Bayonet, but it has a bowie blade instead of a spike.
The sling is the same one used on the SMLE and the No. 4, and the No. 5.... No. 9 bayonets are fairly common on e-bay, go in the $20.00 to $30.00 range. See them at all the gun shows around here(SE Michigan). Also try here: http://www.ima-usa.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_77/pro ducts_id/827 Copy and paste link to browser, then remove the spaces in "pro d ucts" at the end of the address to make it "products" and you will go right to proper page. Sorry, but this site REFUSES to accept adddress in legitimate form. Edited by jona - April 04 2006 at 6:46am |

Well thank you... I wondered I need to get those two things.. I have seen the bowie blade. Is it true they are hard to come by?

The No. 9 bayonet is not hard to find. They are often on Ebay, and
Northridge International ( northridge.inc.com) has them for $20. There
are slings and sights on Ebay most every day.

as long as your looking for accoutraments , you should pick up an oiler and pullthru as well to fill the buttrap the bakelite ones would be good for the no4 but a brass one would not be out of keeping eather , the no4 could also have a breech cover ,

I was @ gun show here in town Friday night(as I was tellin Cookie).I couldn't believe the prices!! they were all over the map-but the deals were plentiful-especially where Enfields & parts were concerned.
Guy there had NEW-unissued, No4 Mk1 bayos, in scabbards, still in como..for $8.00 per/no tax.He had 3 BASKETS full!! Every enfield part u ever wanted, every vintage-whatever.Oh-Lots of other stuff too.I just found the German stuff to be outlandish.(Helmets/flags/flashes etc) Theres a longbranch w/cherry monte carlo stock I was lookin @.MINT-not a scratch-barrell bright & clean. He wants 225.00 I'll get it for less.I'm goin back next show to scoop it(I NEVER paid that much for a rifle in my life!) Got EVERYTHING I wanted for my M-42b while there, too.New/unissued Mauser bayo w/scabbard & keeper, complete field kit, blank device, plus a few Enfield trinkets(like oiler & chargers) all for $70.00-no tax. I was thinkin of you guys...but then,if ya want it-u'll come visit, & we'll go together Hoadie |

Going to a show today hoping for some accessories for my newly aquired '43 AG42b.
I always seem to pick up Enfield stuff at these shows..bits'n pieces.
Last show I was droolin' over a mint No1MkV trials rifle , a matching Siamese No1 with matching bayo and a matching Lithy and bayo.
Big bucks for them tho which will land me in big trouble with the bosslady.
