Just sent my ballot in for the April 28th Canadian Federal Election for my old riding of Burnaby North - Seymour.  Keeping my fingers crossed that enough Canadians are fed up with the Leftist lunacy and vote in Pierre Poilevre.

Birthright citizenship.  I was born in Canada and thus are and remain a Canadian citizen no matter my status in another country.  As a veteran of the Canadian military, a father of Canadian citizens and residents, a friend to dozens of Canadians, and a relative of dozens of Canadians I very much care what is happening to the country and thus regularly exercise my franchise as allowed under the law.

Polievre seems to be much smarter than Trudope!
For the sake of Canada I hope he wins a landslide victory.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

I deeply pray for a Conservative win..a MAJORITY in fact. Alas, methinks that won't happen. The main reason is (IMHO) that the people of Quebec are afraid of Trump - so they have shelved their sucessionist views for the time being, & have fled to the Liberals from Bloc Quebecois.(Quebecers would NEVER vote Conservative).
Then theres Ontario..specifically the Toronto area.(Sodomites!) Full of immigrants that owe their loyalty to the Liberals that let them into the country (& all it's social supports! )
Between Quebec & Ontario, they control the entire election. They outnumber the seats in the entire rest of Canada.
Its a rigged system. If it goes down as a Liberal majority, I'm pretty sure you will see the western provinces seriously play for separation - they don't need the rest of Canada. (If I was younger - I'd seriously move there & go with them!

Its been festering for a long time. I remember in mid 70's when I was out there...there was a separtist movement then. It's getting stronger & louder with every Liberal gov't.

B.C. had a significant separation movement in the latter decades of the 20th century but the changed demographics due to immigration has erased all that.  Liberals in Canada and Democrats in America are trying to cancel out conservative voices by importing easily manipulated 3rd worlders.  The most recent election in the U.S. was our last gasp and had the Republicans lost the Dems would have taken us to the tipping point with no return.  Now Canada is facing its last gasp election.

Exactly. A good friend whom held dual citizenship because his dad was canadian only had to relinquish his canadian citizenship status when he joined the US Army. I went with him to quebec before he joined up...and talk about some really arrogant snobby french speaking chaff !!!. You call and order food in english there and they hung up on us !. His father had to call and order in french - those cheeky buggers !.

Just wait till they discover you're Canadian-born!
Suddenly they no longer speak English, which they did yesterday.
Confused

It's to close to call, according to the polls (which really don't mean anything). I'm truly hoping this turns oot like the pre-election bull like in the US... Dems have it in the bag! Trump is toast! Etc... If Canadians vote with common sense, we win. If they vote for "fear of Trump", we lose. If Liberals get in, Trump will eat us alive, and you know what? I kinda hope they do so the people with their hands always oot (Liberals and NDP) will soon realize there is no money. Just four more years of decline.
