Hello all! Just joined up and wanted to say hello before I begin annoying you all with questions! LOL!
I'm almost 32 (12/7), female, from NC, and proud mama of two Enfields as well as the manager of a gun shop and collector of anything military surplus that I can break my wallet open for. Selling guns for six years, shooting them for about 11. My first Enfield was a 1964 Ishapore No.1 Mk III:  And my second was only purchased a few months later, a 1926 Lithgow SMLE:  Both are in .303. The 1964 Ishapore is a great shooting rifle. The 1926 Lithgow is in limbo right now until it can be checked over by someone who knows what they're doing. We had more than a few questions pop up about it when it first turned up in the shop I work in, but I brought it home anyway. In the meantime, I'm just enjoying admiring it. |

I was just up in your neck of the woods for thanksgiving .... seen a 1953 No1 MK4 at one of the local pawn shops south of Savanna Ga. He wanted $250 for it ..it was not in as great of shape as Your No 1 MK III are .. I ended up getting the Jap rifle from the Pawn Shop right off of the main gate to Ft. Stewart ... I did not see any other Enfields while I was in that area ..and I hit 4 towns worth of Pawn Shops !! I did see some thing strange at the Flea Market in Richmond Hill You may be interested in !! it was a Bren Gun sitting on a shelf in this antique shop !! at Kellers Flea Market in Richmond Hill Ga. Looked to be one of them Millitary training aids .. |

glad to have you here , nothing like a female to clear the rif-raf , or at least temper the tone , and im all for it , looks like a nice rifle [have i seen these before- another site ? ] im on a few and dont want to repeat myself but at my advanced age i sometimes do without realizing it ,

yup surpluss sounds right and yesterdays 1 & 2 if you happen there , as well as FAL files , FN-FAL-perfect union , and M14 forum as well as AR15.com , misurp after hours , rimfire central and some others , i have a lot of interests but enfields are my milsurp focus , ive been selling off my US collection ,
i shoot rimfires , cowboy action , and three gun , sporting clays and trap league ,
ive enjoyed your posts where i have come accross them , its great to have you with us ,
