Hey!! That looks familiar!!
Looks like mine! Actually - its pics of my N0 5, with the new bayo & scabbard Canuck scored for me. There is also a pic of the new recoil pad that Rhino gave me last August. Now she's complete. (I did make an error earlier tho..I said Barry Coppard used it in the Mau Mau..thats wrong - it was Barry Thyne). Coppard was a Chef / friend of mine. His Nephew's wife just passed @ 37 yrs. That was on me mind - sorry) |

Paddy, a bit O.T. but its pissing down with rain & 50 degrees here & in Carlisle.
The weekend seems like a no go for the Army Heritage museum Vietnam tribute. They're going for it, but I'm a bit old for that stuff nowadays. ![]() |

Oh Hoadie, beautiful stuff there! Glad Canuck could help you out with that bayonet, a lot of us were looking for one for you but kept coming up blank. Also, your shoulder will thank you with that new recoil pad. When I had a No 5 it started with a worn out pad but once I replaced it it was like day and night difference. Have fun with you now completed No 5!

..question is: WHERE DO YOU FIND NEW RECOIL PADS.
Everywhhere I had looked - for a number of years - had NOTHING. Rhino shows up here, & tosses me one in my lap. THAT my friend - is a buddy!

It took me a long time to find a replacement recoil pad for the No 5 I had, they are hard to find, but easier than that bayonet. If nothing else you at least you know you have some good buddies
