Missed out on an early Maltby

   I figured you all would chuckle on this one, I still am shaking my head. I watch GunBroker and the likes for Maltby rifles and a bit ago I came across a 1941 Maltby on GB. Correct low wall foreend, correct round style cocking piece, it appeared all correct for an early Maltby. So, I put it in my watch list..... and forgot about it   When I finally remembered and went and checked the auction was over.... and it sold for less than $400. The one that got away I guess.

	That's unfortunate. We all pass by opportunities occasionally. Last week I found a semi auto Bren for sale in france. it's the first time I've ever seen one for sale here. I would love to own it; but it's 1500 Euro's and I do not have the space or the funds available at the moment. It would also take a few month's of paperwork to complete the deal. Still; it would be nice though Oh Bear, I did post a few extra photo's of the Resistance Maltby. Let me know if they are what you needed. See the original thread.

	Sometimes I forget all the steps you have to go through to buy a firearm. We sure take it for granted over here. On the upside, at least you got to see a Bren. I have never seen anything more than pictures. Would be nice to have a semiauto example but that cost is tough.
