Someone from the Lee Enfield Owners Facebook page posted a very interesting document with a lot of photos outlining the disassembly of the No1Mk3... Thought I might want to share it with you guys but the forum settings does not allow me to upload files bigger than 1 Mo.
Is there a way to go around this and share it here????
Otherwise, just connect with the Lee Enfield Owners Facebook page.
Cheers

Philtno

No point I'm afraid. its a Private group. You couldn't see anything anyway. Can you e-mail it to me & I'll see if I can cook something up.

I don't know if I'm missing something, but is there a need for this anyway?
I mean, apart from removal of the foreend in the correct manner, (And Before the butt- stock)  What else needs to be known that common sense doesn't tell us?
Not trying to be funny, just wondering.

Best regards,
Rich.

I guess some people just feel more comfortable with an instruction manual.
I have a similar .PDF, but on the No4 in my files.
It goes a little beyond unscrew bolt (Ba) from Hole (Ha) though & has some handy tricks & tips. I think thats where I first heard of the fishing line trick when replacing extractor springs. I'd ben shooting for years but "The Mob" didn't let us do such things.

I have had spares for the No4 / No5 & the No1 MkIII. never needed them!
Censored
The only part I ever had break was a "Magazine spring, auxiliary spring" &that was because someone had used strong ammonia cleaners & let it collect inside the "U" where it fractured.
Now I have a spare for that too, which I'll probably never need!
