Sham,
I fond all kinds of SRCC abbreviations, but nothing to do with Lee Enfield.  :-)
The term is used by an auction house for a "special" .303 heavy barrel...  BSA and 30" long with weight "Under 3 1/4 pounds" or some such. Round knox form...  cordite proved .... an odd bod.

As the auction is on-going, I can't say too much, but will PM you the link.

Got the message, yes it is odd to say the least.
With that length I'm thinking Long Tom or Martini of some kind maybe?

I'll have to look at it again Sham, but don't think extractor cut was for Martini...

It looks like it would work for a long Lee, but the profile is a little different to that we usually see.

Very possibly. Not my area & I was just basing it on the very long barrel length which would kinda-sorta go with a short action like a Martini.

It's hard to make out the extractor cuts Sham, so you may well be right!
Threads are the same from Snider days to No 1 Mk 111 so that doesn't help us.
