I have come to appreciate the interactions on this forum, and would like to find a similarly engaging forum for the Mausers I own.
Presently I do not have a presence on any other rifle forum. Any ideas?

Ok, redid this post link several times and it did not pop up. Which is funny as I just opened it in another tab. So site is working. Try typing it in or searching for it. Enjoy Later 42rocker

oh, yeah... I do love my Enfields...
My dad brought back a 98K from a Luftwaffe base his squadron occupied in April of ‘45. Gave it to me when I was 13. So, the Mausers and I go way back... I still have Dad’s rifle... it’s a matching numbers, 1944 98k, in almost unfired condition. I didn’t realize it’s true value until I was much older, when I discovered what a cherry rifle it was. I still have it. I hunted with it, taken deer with it, however didn’t like taking it out into the deerstand. Built a woods gun out of a 1937 98k with an ATI stock and scope. Have taken more than a few deer with it, too. To the subject of this post, I have not found a Mauser forum that has the sort of camaraderie that is apparent here. Still looking, have looked around at 3 of the Mauser forums. |

I have a 1909 Argentine Calvary Carbine chambered in 7.63, and a m93 Carl Gustav Swedish Mauser, chambered in 6.5mm going to redo the stock on that one, it’s pretty dirty even with rudimentary cleaning. Bore’s good, tho.
I sure would like to find a No 5 Jungle Carbine. Had one once, and sold it... wish I hadn’t. Maybe one day I’ll find another. |
