I went out a little farther north of the range today to see if there was going to be an issue with my ammunition and the desert temperature. I let the rifle and ammunition acclimate to the outside temperature and then set out to put ten rounds down range . The "cold" bore shot was no different than the one from Wednesday, almost centered. The remaining nine shots were within my limitations and acceptable. It is not capable of the same MOA that my M700P produces but also shows that the extreme heat does not affect accuracy. 115°, 18% humidity, West wind at 5 mph. 200 yards...

I've never even felt what 115 feels like. 105 once when I was working in Oklahoma... I was leaking like a seive as I think the humidity was about 90%. Couldn't even breath!

ive been to the desert a few times and even if its a "dry heat" its still hot , i will give you that it beats that heat in high humidity - but not by all that much , i too remember oklahoma heat and humidity - that was a lot even for my younger man life , we have yet to break 100 here this year bit gotten close ,
its gotten to be fall here now , highs in a quite comfortable the 60s-70s and lows in the 50s-40s , im enjoying the low humidity we have had for the last couple weeks but im not relishing the winter to come with its subzero temps coming all too soon , not realluy complaining at this point as im looking forward to thgis stupid year being over , too much BS with all this covid crap and the mask mandate and all the cancellations of our lives , |

This is the first “cool” morning in the South East. 59 deg at my cabin in Blue Ridge, GA. Seems it’s always humid here in the mountains but temp rarely gets above 80 deg on my back porch.
I can tell you that 90 deg and 90%RH feels like being in a sauna. Im looking forward to the fall and cooler temps.

I'm looking forward to the fall and deer hunting season as well as the cooler temps! I can't imagine what 115F feels like in the desert, but I worked in a paper mill almost 30 years with super heated air in the dryers and high humidity. In my area, deer season opens Sept. 10.

It's nice to see you are getting consistent performance from that rifle. But I can't even imagine shooting in that heat. Oofta!

After 6 odd years working in the Middle East, I do know what that temp feels like. Not ideal for shooting that's for sure. Not great when the sweat start's getting into your eyes!

The hottest months here are mid July to mid September with an average daytime temperature of 111°. During those months the temperature will not go below 100° even at midnight. Ironically, during the winter months of January and early February, Phoenix will see below freezing temperatures.
The far west Arizona town of Bullhead City can be 110° and the far east Arizona town of Hawley Lake can have a temperature of 28° on the same day.

That's quite some variation across the State.
I do agree that dry heat is easier to live with than humid heat. In Riyadh it would regularly be 115-120°F (46-49°C) with low humidity; but in Jeddah, on the Red Sea coast we would not see much over 100°F but very high humidity; that always seemed more tiring at work. Damn fine shooting by the way!
