I bought this part for my No 4 Mk 2 stock. Obviously, this is not the correct part. I believe that it is for a No 4 Mk 1 rifle.
Can someone post a photo of what should go here instead of what I have ?

Someone who owns a No 4 Mk 2 rifle please post a photo of this area of the stock as seen in my photo above showing what the correct tie plate looks like.

There is no tie plate on a #4/MK2 rifle. There is however, a cross bolt with nut that goes through the holes in the rear of the stock.

They frequently show up on E-Bay. Look for a "No4 Mk2 forend rear crossbolt & nut" |

Per the requests for a photo... I still need the nut for the recoil pin, and a bolt head (0.635) to get it to a point at which to test fire it. It's coming along pretty well I think.

The main issue you are going to run into is finding that one particular sized bolthead and if someone does have that one particular size bolthead, it would be advisable to accept offer. I myself, do have that sized bolthead as stated in our last correspondence. Actually it is 0.6355". I also found my spare crossbolt with nut. |
