i turned on PBS tonight , it was masterpiece theater , they were playing a series of episodes depicting the nazi take o0ver of norway and poland in 1939 , i was impressed , it was done in a very truthful manner , including a flashback scene of the blackshirts rally in england , mostly we never hear of the nazi movements in england and the US but they were moving from within and had a gollowing ,
as i said , im not generally prone to the government funded propaganda network but , there are times when they get it right , tonight was one of those times , if IF all of the liberals watching would realize that the national socialists of 1039 were not at all different than what we have in our socialists party today they might actually take heed of the prophesy ... the big difference between then and now is back then there was places to run to if you were fortunate enough to make it out , today your going to have to stand your ground in place - there is nowhere to run to if you give up what you have

Oh heck, yes. Oswald Mosley & his BUF were big. He was very popular & reckoned to be a good orator. Nasty bunch though. I remember hearing him in later life on a talk show because his son had married a "MudPerson" (West Indian man of color) When the interviewer asked him the expected question of how he felt about that he replied "The poor man has my deepest sympathy"!

Oswald Mosley's son Max was head of the FIA and Formula One racing etc. During that time he was caught pant's down when he dressed as a Nazi Guard and his hooker was dressed as a Jewish Prisoner!
He allowed himself to be photographed and the pictures became public! It didn't go down well because his Dad was leader of the British Nazi Party in 1939!!

Zed. I used to compete in FIA 1/2A control line airplane races. Still have a few Fox .049 FIA engines.

That brings back memories Goosic. Although I was not in to control line much, I made a lot of “free flight” and RC aircraft as a kid. Somewhere, I’ve got a few small Diesel engines equivalent to the .049 size. Eventually got in to the .40 and .70 cubic inch 4 strokes, they are up in the attic....

I have a .90 size Pitts S-12 refitted with a .110 electric equivalent setup. I also have a highwing 1/2A RC trainer that I fly the crap out of. I had my oldest daughter put the first flight on YouTube. Still had to make adjustments to the steering linkage. https://youtu.be/-uxjd308t4A |

it’s surprising how much we all have in common. Model aircraft, motorcycles, firearms, ...
Up in my attic is a Super Chipmunk with a OS 70 Surpass 4 stroke. A Sig J-3 Cub with OS 40 4 stroke with scratch built floats. Probably not worth $100 today... |

"Super Chipmunk with a OS 70 Surpass 4 stroke." THAT requires pictures posting. I love the ol Chippy. There's a running joke on an RAF forum I participate in, every time theres a "Whats this aircraft" question the guy says "Super Chipmunk"! No matter what it is"!

I am currently thinking about getting the Cox Super Chipmunk control line with the .049. It would work perfectly in the church parking lot down the street.

I only have one FF britrifles. Upper right. The Dewey Bird, bottom left has an O.K.Cub .049B. The Mouse Racer next to it was built by my teenager. It has the Cox .020 Peewee engine. The Orange plane is a Walt Muscano design that has a .049 Cox Texaco II engine. The Yellow plane is a Sterling Ringmaster Bipe with a full race Valentine Rear Rotory .049.

i wish i had known where this thread was going to lead , i might have had more to add , but alas my model airplane days ended back in the late 69s - might still have that 049 engine but i think it might be at my sisters in the family junk box she wont throw out ,
not at all sure how this relates to the commies among us but im always good with the tangents our posts develop , i know i no longer have these great relaxing items of my past - i miss them , im still sure that we no longer understand the real and present danger of the current communist thinking that is going to be our demise if we ignore it , off my soapbox

It is interesting how posts will take a turn.
I haven’t flown any of my RC planes in 20+ years. Only have a few left. The Super Chipmunk is a great flier. My first ride in real aircraft was with a DHC Chipmunk, a beautiful little aeroplane. |

My old Air cadet Squadron had a Chipmunk, used in the flying scholorship programme. I should go back to the local airport to see if it's still there. (I know our old LINK trainer ended up there.) |

Not a Chipmunk but, my first real plane ride was in a AT6 Texan. The owner, once in level flight, handed the controls over to me for maybe 5 minutes. Very easy to control...
