Went out and obtained a GRI 410 Enfield.

Please share you ideas good or bad on these.

I am going to use it to train the Grandbabies to keep trash pandas and Hoadie out of the chicken coop.

Thanks

Perfectly good short range pest control.
Is it chambered for the standard .410 or the special Indian modified .303 case version?

Have not yet found out.

Have to pull of the handguard and see what it said on the barrel.

Is any of the special indian 303 still around

Not really. You find it around now and then but not very often. Quite a few have been reamed for commercial .410

I don't think the barrel markings will indicate which one?
Easy test. See if a fired .303 case will fully enter the chamber. if it does its chambered for normal .410. if not its the Indian round.

checked it over and no import markings.

Both handguards have no ears.

Marked RFI, 1948, 410.

Old owner chamber a standard three inch 410 round but did not fire it.
