Actually many, but not all, of the Imbel-Made FALs did have chromed bores, like mine does.
I never heard of a chromed line L1A1 Barrel nor a Lee Enfield one.
The thing to remember when looking at a bore to determine if its chromed or not is you can't visually see a difference except at the breech & muzzle ends. This is "Industrial Hard Chroming" not Truck Bling Chrome.

I am down to one metric fal and it's not chromed , but imbel made. I'm having the barrel bobbed soon as I just got a para kit for it ..woo hoo !. Never seen an original FN FAL with chromed bore. My original L1A1 and my two clone L1A1's all have real brit barrels...no chrome bore but chromed chambers.

I have a Canadian Arsenal 7.62mm barrel for my No4Mk1* It was for the L8 series project.  The barrel is made of a chromium molybdenum alloy and the bore is chrome lined. The barrel is a RH twist 1-10" with a 6 groove rifling...

Can you explain please?

This made me laugh. Any chance we could post some photos of the industrial chroming. My FAL barrel seems unchromed. 🚛

Best way is to remove the flash hider & look at the muzzle.
The uneven silver/grey ring is the end of the chrome.
