I vaguely remember .410 SMLE's as being magazine fed in the good old days. But these were British-made ones, not Indian. They were popular as Farm guns because they were cheap & you only needed a shotgun license for them rather than the full house FAC.
I saw them in both the short chambered & std .410 chambering, but don't know if that was "issue" or modified post military.

 the originals were 310 [blown out 303 that i think might have fed from a standard mag not seen the ishy 410 in a repeater they were produced as single shots with fixed wood blocks in the mag well ,  but who knows what someone might have tried along the way ,

.410 she!!s seem to fit nicely. Any other ideas? They look well made with thick steel.
