You can track IKE looks like it is going to miss the Mississippi and louisana gulf coasts. Is there any on the Texas coast? Here is a link to track.

Wife's' cousin runs a charter boat out of Galveston and lives two blocks from the beach. They are busy tying up, down and covering windows.

Haven't heard if they will try to move the boat or just strap it in. I'll give updates when we hear.

Haven't heard. It looks like Galveston got hit hard, but they are lifetime residents so I hope they headed out of town! We're probably not at the top of there to call list, and the power and land lines are out, so we hope to hear by Monday.  Thank you all for the prayers and positive thoughts!

Ok-Ok NOW I'm pissed!! first,I had ta put up with the after effects of Damn-I already forget its name!(Now,understand that ALL SUMMER we havent put 3 days together without rain here),Now the last one's rain is just leavin...we bin gettin the effects of Lowell(yeah-ya never herd bout him-came from the left coast)Now we're supposed to get a 2 hour break between Lowell &Ike...lucky us.Put this into perspective....we are now the most humid place in North America,we will recieve more rain tommorrow & Monday than we get in the month of September-historically.We got more rain in June & July than ever since they bin keepin records(186something).This is the first time I can remember that everyone's lawn are green thro summer. Its a bitch to cut-cause its so long!Cant cut when its wet..wait till dry its a jungle!!

Ike was a very large hurricane he was over 600 miles wide. We are currently under storm warnings for High winds, flooding, and tornados. I have not chatted with Rhino in a day or so, but from our last conversation he was doin ok.
