So what would be the right/correct bayonet for a 1942 Lithgow?
Seems to be a lot of info but not sure which would be found on a Lithgow?
Thanks folks.

Any P-1907 would technically be correct. A Lithgow would be nice but the English and friends made no special attempt to match manufacturers when issuing small arms.

Hey Lost Kangaroo was right, it is the long one.
Thanks DannyBMW. I am looking for a World War Two Lithgow or Orange manufactured bayonet and will wait until one of those show up. Just like the wood for my 1942 Lithgow. I am looking for Australian manufactured pieces. Just being overly nitpicky about this rifle.

I just picked up a 1917 Wilkerson that has "AUSTRALIA" marked grips and an OA marked scabbard. I put it on my Australian reworked 1927 Ishapore. It makes a nice set.

ive a 42 lithgow , with 'new' slaz scales - i think you should find a decent lithgow WWII P1907 , it would be most correct - and ill trade ya mine for a decent 42 dated P07 from anyone elses plant as mine is paired to a 42 BSA dispersal that would be equally happy with any WWII vintage bayo
