Okay to begin with I bought a Mk III rear sight for my No 4 from member Eggy. He lives in the UK and
I in Magazine, Arkansas! Record time for the trip over here and a BIG Thank you goes out to Eggy. The sight is well taken care of and in excellent shape. I first took it to my work place for a bath in the industrial solvent and a scrub with a brass brush. Next will be a quick dip in the blasting cabinet for a complete cleaning. (continued) Aif |

Okay, made it out to the shop and the sand blaster cabinet. Took a while to get it up and running
after a long absense. But it finally decided to work correctly. The results speak for themselves. Even got the sides of it cleaned off. I've already finished with Norrels Molyresin and I'm baking it as I write this. (continued) Aif |

*1 hour 30 minutes later*
I've allowed enough time for the MolyResin to bake and the parts to cool down. While baking I went to work on the lathe and made a couple spacers for the sight. The spacer fits snug but not tight on the sight pin. All in all the sight came out good enough I don't think I'll paint the lettering. Now to put it back together on the rifle. Aif

Wow!! Are the sights always that hard to put back on?? I guess it's because I wasn't putting the right *ENGLISH * on it! Very nice set of sights and much easier and quicker to adjust to longer ranges. Now I have a spacer left over. Anyone need one? (this could be a new side business for me) Aif's Enfield sight spacers, Inc.! Never mind! Aif |

P.M. your address and I'll send it out. I've already MolyResin finished it.
I am a little slow now that I've gotten older. I used to be fast , now I'm only halffast! Aif |

I knew there was a reason I made 2 of those things. It'll go out tomorrow. By the way, how large is an original spacer ? Aif
