Like the chick I met a while back...what a gregarious young lass! But if she had as many p***ks sticking out of her as in her..she'd have been a PORCUPINE!
(Her name was Maureen...I chose not to be in the "Maureen Corp")

I suspect these mounts require the pads to be drilled and tapped?

Yes they do, unfortunately. If you take your time you can accomplish the task or take it to a competent gunsmith and have him do it.

This rifle is,"NOT" an original No4 (T).
It was all repurposed by myself. The reproduction scope and mount, along with the cheek piece came from Numrich Gun Parts. I sourced an unissued stock locally and went to town making a clone. I was very careful in the stocking up of the furniture, cleaning up the trigger, and sighting in the scope, making sure to follow the guidelines of a Mr. Peter Laidler in the process. It's a labor of love and I love me an Enfield...

Something a bit different, but still originally from the UK.

Confiscated and destroyed by the British during the Bore War and resurrected by a tribesman.
