While I realize most people on this site are experienced restorers/builders, and I'm hesitant to put a web site in my post, has anybody ever heard or dealt with a business in Saskatchewan, Canada, called leeenfieldrestorations? The reason I ask is I checked out their site and they look like they do some serious work. I contacted them about building me a faux L42A on a No4 Mk1 platform(retain .303 Calibre.) He said he has on in stock and is sending me pictures. I suspect the price tag would be dear. Any guesses?

I'll let the forum know the price and post pictures. I'd like feedback from Enfield people more knowledgeable than me.

I haven't used them personally but they have a FaceBook page with 2 reviews, both positive.
A quick poke about in it suggests they have a big inventory of LB & Savage parts.

I've received pictures of a L39A1 clone they have on the rack. It looks nice, and I believe the price is $850 CAD. I'm hoping it is in .303 and a repeater, and am waiting for confirmation. I'm not really interested in .308. Hopefully pic's will be posted!

Just received more info. The Envoy clone is based on a No4 Mk1 Maltby. .303, 10 Rd magazine. With PH fancy sites $800 CAD. With ladder site, $600. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna pull the trigger (pardon the pun) on this deal. I'll think about it over night.

it sounds nice - i have no reference point on canadian price points these days at all , but im always one to say - if you like it and it fits your needs go for it , we only go round once in life and life is a fleeting thing ,

but - life is good

That looks like a .303 barrel to me, no magazine though.

Thanks for posting the pics, Shamu. It is a .303 barrel. Magazine is included. As a clone of the L39A1, it's not totally accurate (no heavy barrel, not .308) but from the pics, I like the looks. They are three hours down the road so wife and me will probably do a road trip to have a better look.
