Tom Brooks (in Gravenhurst) used to fly the Confederate flag - religiously, every day. He would raise it up in the morning & bring it down at night.
He usually wore his confederate uniform daily.
Would ride his horse (Spyder) into town in the mornings. The local cafes & restaurants would have the big "horse carrots" for Spyder.
He was even featured on some of the placemats in the retaurants

First Tom's wife passed, then Spyder. Sadly Tom went as well, few years back.

Used to run into him round Gettysburg quite a bit.(Other sites, as well).
He wrote a few books about the 10th LA. & Candadian involvemnet in the Un-Civil war.
Loose wimmen tightened here

"Dueling Banjos" (From "Deliverance") but played on "Mountain Dulcimers" in the Ozarks. We used to do an annual camp-out way, way back in the hills called:

there is a bit of poetry to dueling banjos in this case - it seems fitting

"..Shoot em' with civil war era Colt Navy.I happen to have one if you need it."  ME TOO and an 1860 army get them with both for the confusion factor
