I took three rifles with me today. Came back with the same three. Sighting in my Custom No4,even after laser bore sighting was a small bitch and moan. Here is the end result.

The Rifle 7.62mm was almost boring after the initial sighting in. I was facing north with a 6mph northwest wind. Doug Marcaida voice. This rifle,it will kill...

The Faux No4Mk1 T is the rifle that surprised me the most. I definitely had my reservations about it. When the first shot left the barrel, the range master came up and asked,"Did you just pull the scope from that case and screw it on the rifle and punch a hole into the bullseye with your first shot?" Not too shabby for a cold bore shot. The nine remaining shots were all within a definite kill shot. The scope is zeroed for 300 yards. I aimed at the little dot at the top of the target and pulled the trigger.

I am a happy little camper now...

I'm thinking that maybe I should stop looking for a real deal No4 T. I bore sighted the rifle a year ago and have since removed the scope mount a dozen or so time in between then and today. It held its zero.

I am extremely content honkytonk. Words cannot express how I feel about what I did today and how the rifles performed. I left that range today prideful. I built those rifles, two from the ground up,and they performed flawlessly. Nobody can take that from me. The Faux No4Mk1 T performance was as close to or identical to the real deal sniper rifle.
There was a gentleman shooting a scoped M1 Garand next to me. He was not too happy with his rifle after looking at my target. Insert $#it eating grin here.
I felt this badass today.

Handloads for the .303

Store bought Hornady .308

I also used some Remington UMC .308 FMJ 150 gr. Ballistics never changed between the two...

A job well done! Excellent results Goosic. Time to do some competitions now with your "faux" T.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

Absolutely awesome! All three of these rifles are 1 MOA, and the 7.62 is even less than MOA! You can justifiably be very proud of this work!

How can I convince you to build me up a Faux No. 4(T)?
