My Grandfather used to start drinking on July 1 and stay drunk till after the 4th.

He only made it to 101.

Happy Birthday Canada!

My neighbors in Costa Rica have been posting parties and food and say they can't find a cold beer for the last three days.

Its like that in Cuba, as well. The stores run out of everything - especially beer - in the morning..& might not have any again for days.

Aughhh, someone who knows what the day actually represented.  "Canada Day" just gets you tongue tied; try saying that fast three times.   "Dominion Day" as a nice ring to it.
