I went to the range this morning and tried out the PH5C on Frenchie. (The Hubble Telescope just didn't do it for me.)
This rifle is a consistent shooter regardless of what sight or optics it uses but, it will stay with the PH5C.  I did add a cheek riser to give myself a better cheek weld and to bring my eye up for better alignment with the 6 hole Parker peep sight.
The round used was a Winchester case trimmed to 2.20" and loaded with 40.0grns of VihtaVuori N540.  Primers used are Federal GM215M with a C.O.L. of 3.100" putting the 174grn PPU FMJBT projectiles 15 thousands of an inch away from the rifling while still allowing for reliable magazine feeding...

Goosic. Real glad you opted oot of the "modern" scope. To my eye, it just didn't fit the classic lines of a Lee Enfield. Excellent shooting, by the by!
