Why, wasn't it as recently as June that Chairman Carney announced that Canada was going to "recalibrate" its ties with China?  Maybe train more Chinese troops in Winter Warfare so China can crush the Uygher minority in Xinjiang better?  Help China expand its "Belts and Roads" program by allowing them to build ports and airports across Canada, all at no expense of course just have to allow the Chinese military to use them upon occasion.  He was going to show Trump that Canada wasn't going to be bullied by cozying up to an even bigger bully.

If your father was born in Canada you can claim Canadian citizenship if you wish.  My Texas wife's father was born in Halifax N.S. so she was allowed to claim her Canadian citizenship and keep her U.S. citizenship so now we both have dual citizenship.  .

I have the following passports.

Canadian, as my Father was born in New Brunswick

Scottish as my wife was born there.

Might even get a Irish one as my Mother Mother was born in Dublin.

My American one is the one I use unless I'm leaving the US.
