I saw a
Indian Model II Lee Metford at a North Carolina gun show today.

Hard to read original markings, looked to be ground.

Looked like it was rebarreled and restocked as a NoI MkIII.

looked to be matching.

Asking $800.00, firm.

Also marked England. A post 1968 import to the US.

Owner would not let me check the barrel. I walked.

could be a decom as well , might have been plugged , ive always felt a full inspection without disassembly was a reasonable request , removing a bolt to look at bore is not unreasonable at all , id walk to at that price , an 600 wall hanger is just a fun discussion starter , fine f thats what you want but too rich for my wall ,

I know it in different words.

From a Military," When in doubt whip it out".

Oh wait, that's is about saluting foreign officers.

As a friend of mine commented on seeing some salutes form other nations:
"SALUTE!
THAT IS NOT A SALUTE!
(THAT IS A W@NKING SPANNER)"!
