   This is just an opinion! 
Recently I have been in the market for a new scope for my Eddystone project.  I have found that ebay has about the best deals on name brand scopes.  I finally settled on a NIkon Buckmaster 4-12 X 40/ BDC that only cost me $217.00 delivered.  
Man when I compared this to my Leupold, Tasco and Bushnell scopes I found that there is NO comparison.  The quality of this scope and eye piece focus was outstanding.  So I say to my fellow shooters check these out!
Also got a new Pentax (on the way) 3-9 X40 / BDC for $89.00 that has advertised 95% light transmission. 
So guys if you are looking for a good name-brand scope check out ebay and bid away!

	Those have very good optics. They do however compare to the German manufacturered scopes.
