2A1 original finishes

   I’ve embarked on the 2A1 restoration journey. Problem is, I can’t get a straight answer from anyone on what the original finishes were? I know they were painted any time they went back, but I have two samples, one looks like manganese phosphate park, the other blued? Among some of the parts I rounded up, was a minty fresh complete rear sight assembly that had also been blued, factory. It looks like it’s NOS and has correct ramp and yardages for 7.62. So, any 2A1 experts out there?
