he!!o, got a 1944 NO.4 MK1 Long Branch. Everywhere else i look seem to say that the No.9 blade is correct, but here ive seen a few saying that the spike is correct for the NO.4 mk1? Thought that was used on the mk2. Also is there a source for just a sheath for a NO.9 bayo? Thanks

Both will fit. For your rifle the spike could possibly be regarded as chronologically more correct.

as terry lee pointed out chronologically more correct , one might also say a certain spike is more correct by date but all four would be correct as would the no7 or no9 , if you can seek out a longbranch marked mkII/II* you will like the  look best ,

if you already have the blade - it will take some looking to find the scabbard on the loose - it fit all of the bladed versions from the no5 on and they got reused [even the blades for the SLR]

 Redman:
I have a No4 MkII* H&B spike bayonet with the Victories Plastics scabbard and a 1943 dated frog.
I also have the South African Armscor No9 blade complete with scabbard and frog.
I am asking $65.00 USD for the No4 spike and $85.00 USD for the No9 blade. The cost includes shipping. PM me if interested.
