Enfield #4 in .50 AE, No.4 of 6. Only two more to assemble. They are fun to build, but there is a lot more fitting of parts than the normal .45 conversions. I think this one came out pretty nice. Has one of our new scope rails on it too, tested it with iron sights, not for children, as .50 AE has a fair bit of kick. |

I found your 45 conversions intriguing Richard, even tracked down a Aussie mob that sold the kit. I am not familiar with the 50 AE and looked it up - develops some impressive ballistics in a 6" handgun barrel, any idea what it is capable of in a rifle.

We get 1900 FPS as I recall, with a 300 gr. bullet.
Power factor still equals the average 45-70, at one-hundred yards!

Hi richard/sia.....I just joined the forum after seeing the things you have been doing with the 303. I love this stock. I have a #4 mk1 long branch that has been sporterized. I use it for all my hunting needs as I prefer it to the modern deer rifles I own. I have a scope on it and was fixing to order an ati stock until I saw this one. Boydes has the stock but not the forarm. I like the checkering as well. Please tell me how to find this stock ......thanks and keep up the great work |

Sorry, that is an old stock set from a company long out of business, I think it was Bishop stock.
I got it on a pawn shop gun.

Thanks , will see if I can track them down , I’ve sourced a barrel maker here in Australia that can make me one and it’s about a 16-18 week wait at the moment
I am thou trying to also chase down a 285 or 300 grain gas checked hollow point mold also in the interim as factory loaded ammo over here is extremely difficult to source , I’ve emailed MP molds and NOE molds and can’t get a reply from either of them Does anyone know any other molds available or a mold maker willing to do one for me ?

I believe that Richard at SIA has closed up shop in the interim?
