it is an entrenching device , made up of the iron excavating head [inside the web pouch] and the handle section [attached with straps] , this one came with the bayonet boss attached to its end , thus was fitted the no4 spike for mine probing [fitted with its scabbord and frog here]
one day i will open it up and photo it
