The biggest thing that interests me is the bolt and receiver match, but the barrel does not.. However, the barrels number isnt all that far off from the receiver and the bolts :) Anyways! Here is the rifle as a whole: ![]() And here are the fun markings: ![]() ![]() So there it is :D

Welcome to the addiction, nice start you have there.
There is literally no one who knows all the obscures marks on an Enfield. There are makers marks, govenment marks, proof marks, & even individual inspectors marks, & so on. HOwever this link, & some of the others in the "links" section lower down the main menu should get you off to a good start in your quest. http://home.earthlink.net/~smithkaia8/ There used to be a very good site using actual graphics of the stamps, but it seems to haver become defunct so this is probably your best bet currently.

That is a nice looking rifle but I have a request. Could you take a picture of the knox form of the barrel? I see a commercial BSA mark on there, but that other mark has me scratching my head. Never seen one like that before. As to the barrel number, looks like it someone mistook the 3 in the serial for a 5 when they stamped the number on the barrel. I had to look close at the receiver to realize it was actually a 3 as the third digit. All in all, it is a sharp looking rifle.

id like to see the right wrist marking , i too returned to gaze as it is a nice find , that is where we will see where she was made - its where the date is and the model ID
if its a BSA , 1915 was transitional from mkIII to MKIII* , mine an early one , is also a mkIII , later ones will have been mkIII* , others swithched ove on different schedule but all by 1916
