I just recently bought this from a guy.  It looked clean and in great condition.  I have attempted some research on it, but the barrel length is throwing me off.  Can anyone give me the 411 on this 303 Lee Enfield rifle?  Thank you and God bless America.

its a sporterized mkIII* made in india in 1941 , the bbl looks to be intact but not certain on that front sight , rear sight is original and she looks restorable but requires all new wood and some fittings to get er done ,

its actually a handsome sporter in my book , but the wood and fittings are available - easy to find indian bits - so its up to you

It is a handsome sporter.  I'd keep it that way but having the original dress for it would be great too.  There should be a locating pin and a key on that fore-sight.

Looks like nice wood, you could do something good with that. It looks similar woodwork to my Parker Hale No 4
