I was just wanting to know which front sight you fellas have on your jungle carbines? Split base or solid? I was just at the range sighting in one of mine and found it had a split base, which I thought was for the #4 rifles with the grub screw.

Canuck, are you talking about the base of the sight blade itself?

Yes the actual dovetail that goes into the sight band on the barrel. The split base was for the "reversed screw" the solid base was for the "Interference Fit" dovetail.

I may have gotten that reversed. My carbine (no screw) is split, my No4 (with screw) is solid. ![]() |

Thanks fellas for the responses! I'm going back to the range to get this rifle dialed in. I wont forget my small tool bag this time, that way I can drift the front sight properly.
