It is with great sadness that I must inform our group that hunting big game is truly a dangerous activity. A dear friend of mine was killed this morning while hunting bison in the Yukon. He was attacked by a bison, gored and stomped to death. It is gory to think about but very sobering as well. He had harvested another bison last week and was to spend the long weekend doing the same. He leaves behind a wonderful wife and 5 children. Miss you and love you forever TJ....until we meet again dear friend.

what a sad thing , sorry to hear of the loss , i did not realize that those hunting efforts got that close to the prey , i thought in terms of a sharps at a good distance out but that shows my limited knowledge of the big game some of you hunt , my condolences

Sorry for your loss Canuck and our deepest condolences to the family.
Must be very difficult for them right now. Very sad indeed.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
