I was scratching my head over who made the sling that was on my French Resistance No4.
Michael Wright & Sons Ltd. of Quorn England is the definitive answer. They will typically put their mark directly in the middle of the sling. And now you know...

I washed the sling with mild soap and warm water Enfield trader.
I had my daughter purposely trace over the original stamp with a fine tip Sharpie so yes, it:looks new" but I can assure you that the sling is original and that is the original makers mark. I did no different than getting new ink in an old tattoo...

Kind of looked like a repro at first but none have that marking as of now

I bought a French Resistance No4Mk1 and had the opportunity to pick through 2 dozen rifles. This was the only one with this makers mark. All the other manufacturers I have seen. Progression of when I got it home, washed it a few times and then to when I had my daughter re-ink it...
