I am the fortunate owner of three Enfields and SMLE , No4 and now a number 5 jungle carbine.
The serial number on my carbine has only three numbers. Must be ok since it has been sold on through the licensing system and police are aware. Shoots well with a great bore. Has anyone come across low numbers like this? Gary

Gary, My No.5 (Faz) was No. Z 172 and dated 1947. Purchased in 2000 for £340 and sold a few years ago, it never shot well!
